Ball Gowns

There are hundreds of styles of dresses that have been popular throughout the ages but only one dress which has retained its classical feel even while it has been updated with new ideas and designs - the ball gown. For classic gowns that would fit into any formal Black Tie affair, a perfect example is a dress which features a long, flowing A-line skirt and a form fitting bodice with a variety of sleeve options, from cap sleeves, slim straps, accentuated sleeves or even sleeveless or boat neckline versions! For a sleeker look that oozes sexuality, the ball gowns from the golden age of Hol lywood are echoed strongly by the full sleeved gowns like a form fitting, flowing gown that shows the figure in simple, graceful lines. These ball gowns often have an aggressive side or offset split in the skirt to reveal just the right amount of leg. And of course the classic princess dress, with accentuated shoulders, a tight bodice and multilayered A-line skirts brings the classical definition to the ball gown. In one form or another, these dresses are meant for the most formal affairs. From a Spring Cotillion to a formal Prom or a QuinceaƱera, Sweet Sixteen or Bat Mitzvah, the ball gown remains the go to dress for the utmost in beauty and fashion.
